Across the country less than 10% of Emergency Personnel have ever handled a horse. This training will begin with the basic knowledge of handling, haltering, and removing a horse from a stall, and the proper releasing techniques.

Once the basics are completed, students will then learn to handle horses in emergency situations including smoke. All students will be in complete bunker gear or personal protective clothing during this training.

This 8 hour training class is all hands-on, with large and small horses, and is complete with live smoke, lights, sirens, pumping fire apparatus, and flowing handlines.
